Title: The Shoggoth Variations Pairing: Reid / Ethan (Criminal Minds) Word count: 18,000+
Summary: When Ethan invited Reid and Prentiss to the Dunwich Jazz Festival, they were expectinge a relaxing weekend of drinking, music and, well... drinking. But now the festival’s guests are going missing, the manager of the local hotel has disappeared, and the very fabric of reality itself is starting to look dangerously thin.
Author Notes: If you’ve never read HP Lovecraft’s “The Dunwich Horror,” (on which this fic is based, sort of) you can check out the full story over here. You don’t need to have read the original to understand the fic, but as this is one of my all-time favourite horror stories, I’d be remiss not to recommend it here.

Title: Trust Fall Pairing: Morgan and Reid, sort of. Ish. Word Count: 715 Summary: So I was reading prompts for Rounds of Kink to distract myself from my actual writing project and ran into: Blindfold, Spencer Reid/Derek Morgan, Working On Trust Issues. Oh hey, awesome, I thought. I’ll write some emotionally fraught blindfold porn!
...and then I wrote this instead. Um. Yeah.
( Oh, you wanna argue this one, pretty boy? )

Title: Remains
Rating: R
Pairing: Nathan Harris / Spencer Reid (Criminal Minds)
Summary: An AU look at episode 2.11, “Sex, Birth. Death.” He knew this was coming. That’s why he’s out here, isn’t it? So they can get some closure. Except, that’s not what this feels like.
Warnings/Notes: More than any other part, this alludes heavily to the original episode. And yes, standard season two spoiler warnings, also.
Before we get to it, I just wanted to thank everyone who’s come by to take a look at this thing and tell me what they think. You guys are a pretty awesome fandom, and yeah, I’m totally going to have to do this again.

Title: Remains

Pairing: Nathan Harris / Spencer Reid (Criminal Minds)
Summary: An AU look at episode 2.11, “Sex, Birth. Death.”
It’s stupid, he knows it’s stupid. But everything—the clothes he didn’t take to California that still fit, the books left on his shelf he still remembers reading last summer—it’s so surreal to see. Like his life here never stopped.
Like the last semester didn’t happen at all...
Warnings: Graphic imagery, some gore, and sexuality — of varying kinds. Spoilers for the second season continue, as per usual.

Today is one of those days when I desperately need distracting, so early editing and posting it is.
Also, on an unrelated note, anyone out there want to read 7 pages of a Lovecraft/Criminal Minds crossover and help me figure out what the hell I'm doing? You can see how clunky my prose is before rigorous editing. Exciting!
Title: Remains
Rating: R
Pairing: Nathan Harris / Spencer Reid (Criminal Minds)
Summary: An AU look at episode 2.11, “Sex, Birth. Death.” Back at Quantico, the team's first brainstorming session raises more questions about their latest Unsub than it answers.
Warnings: Spoilers for the second season and also, um The Wrath of Khan. Other than that... zip. I guess this is the 'nice' chapter.

Title: Remains, Act II
Rating: R
Pairing: Nathan Harris / Spencer Reid (Criminal Minds)
Summary: An AU look at episode 2.11, “Sex, Birth. Death.” The team gets a new case, and Reid gets some unpleasant information. Meanwhile, Spencer and Nathan celebrate the former's 18th birthday in a not-entirely conventional way.
Warnings: Remember how I said this got a little bloody in later parts? Yeah, that. Spoiler warnings for all of season two apply again here.

Title: Remains
Rating: R
Pairing: Nathan Harris / Spencer Reid (Criminal Minds)
Summary: An AU look at episode 2.11, “Sex, Birth. Death.” When Nathan Harris shows up at Reid’s usual subway station, the team gets an uncomfortably close look at their fellow agent’s dating history. (And totally not referred to by its author ‘the big gay college AU’ or anything. Nuh uh.)
Warnings: In later parts this gets graphic, disturbing and mildly gory. Also, if you still haven’t seen season two this will spoil several things for you and possibly make less sense.

This was originally going to be a few parts longer, but I've realized I quite like the story arc as it is now. So there.
"If you can write short, you can write anything," an editor once told me. Thus, each part is exactly 150 words. I swear that restriction made sense when I started this.
Title: Big Drag— A Love Story in 21 Parts

I feel like there ought to be more to say about finishing this. I'll probably have to make a shmoopy post on the other LJ later, but for now, let's just stick with this:
Here it is.
Title: Drunk on Love? No—Drunk on Gin! 12
Pairing: John Nolan/Vinnie Accardi
Rating: Tame and tamer. PG.
Disclaimer: Nothing but untruths, dupery and lies.
Longest Dedication Ever: Thanks to x_kchan_x for reading rough drafts in AIM, echoelf for listening to me whine, krammy for the enthusiasm, and inpurity for the everything. And also, thanks to everyone who ever took the time to tell me they were reading. It really means a lot.
Summary: fanfic100 prompt 003— ends And now, A Very Final Installment of Drunk on Gin. Plot lines are resolved! Ridiculous plans are ridiculous. John and Vinnie are John and Vinnie. And, uh. Someone wears boxer shorts.
It’s been fun, guys. Here’s how it all turns out.

Title: Drunk on Love? No—Drunk on Gin! 11
Pairing: John Nolan/Vinnie Accardi
Rating: We’ll just stick with an R for the rest of this. That’s got to cover everything that could happen, right?
Disclaimer: A filthy liberal myth since 2005.
Dedication: For inpurity, for reasons varied and various.
Summary: fanfic100 prompt 071— Broken In a Very Histrionic Installment of Drunk On Gin, a group of high school students get more than they bargained for on a college viewing, a chair gets knocked over, and—of course—someone gets drunk and talks about sex.
( Yeah, this is the life. )

Frequently Asked Questions
Does anyone remember the early days of takebackfiction? When we were all lucky if we could spell Adam's last name right? When every second post was someone wanting to know just what was up with that whole Jesse Lacey / John Nolan feud?
This, friends. This is what was up. The truth must be told.
( The whole thing was Jesse's fault. )

So, I started this story in May of 2004 and I’ve been tinkering with it off and on ever since. Any strange unevenness is to be blamed on 20-year old me’s poor editing or 17-year-old me’s terrible characterizations.
...oh God, I feel old.
Also, if you take the book’s publication dates as approximate event times, it’s entirely plausible (in my mind) that Alex was an Arma Angelus fan while he was in Chicago. Pete Wentz makes everyone gay.

Fandom: California Diaries
Disclaimer: California Diaries and the darling Ducky McCrae are the intellectual property of Ann M. Martin. Any strange references to the Chicago hardcore scene, including allusions to people living or dead and various bits of merchandising... well. Draw your own conclusions.
Summary: Alex comes back from Chicago. Ducky’s life remains complicated.
